                                                                                      Covid-19 Response

Our office is currently operating with safeguards in place to protect our patients and staff in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. If you are arriving for your own appointments in your car, we ask that you call into the office (201-871-9595) once you have parked. For safety purposes, we prefer that you wait in your cars rather than in the waiting room if possible, as we will call you to come in once Dr. Freilich is ready to see you. Of course if you are arriving any other way, you are welcome to wait in the waiting room.

Please be sure to bring a mask and gloves. If you are experiencing any symptoms of Covid-19 it is important that you alert us. We appreciate your cooperation.

Eye Exam

Every patient receives a comprehensive eye exam in addition to the special attention given to diseases of the retina. My practice is unique in that once the patient is called from the waiting room, all their time is spent face to face with me, their physician. This includes the time spent undergoing the most advanced diagnostic retinal imaging available. Patients are never rushed, and every patient receives as much time as they desire face to face with their doctor so all of their questions and concerns can be addressed.

Treating Diseases of the Retina

My practice specializes in treating diseases of the retina and vitreous. Patients benefit from the most advanced retinal diagnostic and therapeutic equipment available today. Our Heidelberg Spectralis system provides patients with traditional state of the art retinal and optic nerve imaging, fluorescein and ICG angiography, as well as high definition optical coherence tomography (OCT). This system also allows us to offer the latest in angiography, which adds vital diagnostic information for patients with macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy, among other retinal diseases.

Laser Retina Surgery

I utilize my expertise in the latest techniques of laser retinal surgery. For appropriate patients, I offer retinal MicroPulse laser treatment, which allows for much safer treatment of diseases such as diabetic retinopathy than does traditional laser surgery.
